How To Play The Guitar Online

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

If you have ever wanted to learn the guitar and always thought it is too dificult or you don’t have the time then I have some good news for you.

The first thing that I feel I should say is that being able to play simple, yet popular songs on a guitar is actually not as tough as you might think. Why is this you may ask? Well firstly because you do not need to be able to read music in order to play a guitar. That’s right you can read guitar tab, which is a whole lot easier. Guitar tab is number on written out on lines that represent the strings, and they indicate which fret and string you finger should be holding down.

The other reason why anyone can learn to play basic guitar songs quickly online is because a lot of popular songs are only played with three or four chords anyway. A huge amoun to the Beatles songs are only three chords, same with Nirvana, Tracy Chapman, Green Day, Bob Dylan, the list goes on.

Now here’s the great part - You can learn the guitar online these days very easlily. Traditionally if you wanted to learn how to play the guitar you would have to look for a guitar, hope that they were decent and in your local area and pay through the nose for the priveledge.

However nowadays there is a much better approach that will cost you a lot less money. What I really love about learning the guitar online is that you can take lessons on your terms, when and where you please and whatever time fits into your schedule!!

Thanks to modern technology these days, online guitar courses are now able to provide quality video and audio lessons which almost make it feel like your guitar teacher is right there with you.

You can take guitar lessons in New York, or guitar lessons in Melbourne or where ever you live in the world, because by learning online the guitar teacher comes to you!

I used to take my guitar lessons in Sydney, where I live now, but thanks to the Internet I choose to learn online and have progressed my guitar skills a lot faster.

All the best and happy playing!
